Football Tickets Sell Out In 59 Minutes

State College, Pa. — Penn State student section football tickets sold out in a record 59 minutes today, according to a press release on the Penn State Propaganda Portal, Penn State Live. The tickets, which went on sale at 9am this morning through Ticketmaster, were difficult to obtain even for early risers.

One Penn State junior told Safeguard Old State, “I logged on at 9:05am and sat in front of my computer for 35 minutes waiting for the thing to process, but it never did and I had to get to work. I’m pissed that I didn’t get them, but it’s good to see kids really getting into it for once.”

From the looks of it, this junior won’t nearly be the only one left without tickets. Speculation has it that ticket scalping through local sites like Lion Connection and national sites like eBay may push student ticket prices through the roof this year, especially for the highly anticipated night games.

SOS spoke with The LION 90.7fm‘s President/General Manager, Brandon Peach, who had some reassuring words for Nittany Lion fans. “As always, the great guys in the sports department will be bringing anyone with a radio or an internet connection live play-by-play coverage of all the home games, and potentially even a few away games.”

“Tune in early for pregame analysis and interviews,” Peach added. Guido D’Elia, football spokesman, commented to The Daily Collegian, saying, “I think the lesson to be learned from this is never, ever, ever underestimate our students’ passion for football.”
