Another stride towards shared governance was completed last week on December 11th, 2007 as the second administrative Special Committee on UPUA Constitutional Review voted 3-0-2 to adopt the UPUA Constitution: Revised 2007 (with both the administrative and faculty representative abstaining from voting).
Safeguard Old State wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. After such a busy first semester, this is a great time to sit back and reflect on the past and the future.
Once upon a time, Penn State’s news source was not the elite brand that it is today. However due to support and dedication, Penn State now has one of the leading sources of news in The Daily Collegian. This proves it takes time to build up an effective organization.

While some may claim Safeguard Old State has been critical of the administration, we do respect the efforts of individuals who are attempting to better student life and shared governance. Today we Spotlight the efforts of Sherri Metcalfe.
Love us or hate us, Safeguard Old State has become a powerhouse of advocacy and student-alumni opinion throughout Nittany Nation over the past few months. As an organization we thank everyone who has visited the website and helped contribute to furthering a diversity of thought for the Penn State community.
